The Fruits visit Joe Alvarez @ The Comedy Store

The fruits ventured out once again.. This time, to please their pretty ears :)

Spot the fruits below..

From the Ocean of Rock Blues & Jazz comes a wave, a big one, with the name of Joe Alvarez.

With memorable performances at the reputed Montreal & Singapore Jazz festivals over the years, Joe took to the the Comedy Store stage, High Street Phoenix, Mumbai.

After a slightly disappointing opening performance by a New-York based Indian ‘singer’, the stage was conquered by Joe & How !

A Big shoutout to the oh-so-awesome Jai Row Kavi (drums) Jarvis Menezes (Synth) Rushad Mistry (Bass) & Sanjay Joseph working the strings…

We were superrrrrr excited to spot 2 special guest performers, Loy Mendonsa (From the Shankar-ehsaan-loy trio) & Mr. Fazal Qureshi who added a melodious hint of desi tadka to the ongoing symphony.

What followed was an explosive performance consisting of original compositions as well as some Blues classics interpreted in Joe’s indomitable style.

All in all, a Kickass gig… Enough said ! :)
