The tiny potli saves the day! Organize you’re your loose change and keep the coin clutter away. Here’s a simple way to create a tiny potli out of your old tee.
You’ll need:
Old tee of your choice
Small plate or any circular shape
Ribbon
Appliqué, Sequence, Buttons or Paint
Needle and Thread
Safety pin
Paint brush
Step 1:
Using the plate trace a circle on the inside of the tee. Now cut along the marking.
Step 2:
Leave about 1 inch off, cut tiny slits along the edges of the cloth. Stitch around these slits to strengthen the potli.
Step 3:
Hem the edges around the cloth.
Step 4:
Using a safety pin, treadle the ribbon in and out of the loops till both ends meet. Select your desired length (you can keep it long or short) and cut of the excess. Now, holding the ends of the ribbon together and push the cloth to the opposite side and tie the ends ribbon in a bow.
Your basic tiny tee potli is ready!
Time for the fun part! Get creative and go wild and sew on sequence, appliqué, buttons or you can even paint on your potli.
If you don’t want to use a ribbon to tie your potli, you can make radical rope from the rest of your old tee.
All you need to do is cut out different strips from your old tees and get creative with the braiding and twisting. The length can be long or short depending on your preference.

It’s easy peasy, all you’ll need is:
Old tees in different colours and prints
Scissors
Elastic
Needle and thread
Safety pin
Step 1:
Cut out rectangular strips from your old tee. Depending on what you prefer, you can make it as long and as wide as you like.
Step 2:
Fold the width of about half an inch on both edges and sew each end. Then fold the strip in half, inside out.
Step 3:
Stitch along the length of the cloth. You’ll now have a cloth tube.
Step 4:
Turn the tube right side out and run the elastic through the tube. Use the safety pin to treadle the elastic.
Step 5:
Depending on how tight you like your scrunchie pull both ends of the elastic together and sew. Cut of the excess.
Step 6:
Join the edges of the cloth and stitch around overlapping each other.
Your scrunchie is now ready to hold up your hair. Go crazy and make more of these easy peasy colourful scrinchies. Wear a super cool one every day!

Warm up your fingers the eco - friendly way.
This winter make hand warmers out of your old tees, it’s the easiest thing and won’t take up much of your time.
You’ll need:
Old tee
Scissors
Appliqué or paint or whatever else you’d prefer for decoration
Measuring tape
Step 1:
Measure your wrist length and width and mark them on your old tee.

Step 2:
Cut out your tee and sew the ends along the width. Don’t forget to leave space for your thumb!


Step 3:
You’ll now have funky hand warmers!

To add a touch of girlie you can use ribbon, lace strips or even shoe laces as trimmings for your warmers. Get imaginative and add appliqué, buttons or you can even paint on them…
Give your old bangles a makeover by recycling your old tee into something fun and pretty.
You’ll need:
Old tee
Scissors
Bangles
Step 1:
From your old tee cut out long strips. Make sure they’re long enough to cover your entire bangle, if they’re not you can always sew together 2 or 3 strips.

Step 2:
Leaving about 2 inches, start wrapping the strip around the bangle. You can get creative here and do a simple wrap or a criss-cross wrap.

Step 3:
When the ends of the strips meet each other, tie a knot and cut off the excess.

Your pretty and colorful bangles are ready to flaunt. Wear them to a day soirée or wear them to college and add colour to a boring lecture.
