Here’s how you can make a Neck Tie

Step 1

Put the scarf around the back of your neck with the ends to the front.

Step 2

Fold one end over the other, two times.

Step 3

Take this same end and pull it up through the back and then through the front loop that you’ve created.

Step 4

Pull the ends tight and adjust the scarf to your liking.

Back to Basics!

It’s time to get down to the basics…

Simple and chic is the fashion mantra in this minimalistic modern age. Plain need not always be boring and solids need not always be dull.

The key to basic tees is colour! One must be careful while choosing colour when it comes to basic tees.

If you’re fair or darker doesn’t really matter. Colour looks great on anyone!

You can try a bright coloured basic tee with dark denims or darker shades with lighter denims or khakis. You can even go for the classic James Dean look with a basic white tee with dark denims.

If you dare, you can try a dark grey or faded black basic tees over pitch black slim jeans or dark navy slim jeans.

So are you ready to get back to basics?

Scrunchie Madness!!

Scrunchie junkie? We’re gonna help you feed your addiction cause you can never have enough of scrunchies.

It’s easy peasy, all you’ll need is:

Old tees in different colours and prints

Scissors

Elastic

Needle and thread

Safety pin

Step 1:

Cut out rectangular strips from your old tee. Depending on what you prefer, you can make it as long and as wide as you like.

Step 2:

Fold the width of about half an inch on both edges and sew each end. Then fold the strip in half, inside out.

Step 3:

Stitch along the length of the cloth. You’ll now have a cloth tube.

Step 4:

Turn the tube right side out and run the elastic through the tube. Use the safety pin to treadle the elastic.

Step 5:

Depending on how tight you like your scrunchie pull both ends of the elastic together and sew. Cut of the excess.

Step 6:

Join the edges of the cloth and stitch around overlapping each other.

Your scrunchie is now ready to hold up your hair. Go crazy and make more of these easy peasy colourful scrinchies. Wear a super cool one every day!

Hairstyle Trends 2012 – Men

The Trend for hairstyles in 2012 is vintage inspired. The classic suave and sophisticated look is back with a twist. Sporting this look with casuals is all the rage on the runway.

The Undercut

Inspired from the 90’s the slicked back undercut style has made a major come back.  If you have naturally straight hair this style is a great look for you. You can also opt for different variations in this style. You can part your hair to the sides or spike it up.

Mop Tops

Made famous by the Beatles this hairstyle has been transformed into a messy, scruffy look.  It’s chic, simple and easy to maintain. All you need to do is brush your hair forward and add a little hair wax by running your fingers through your hair. This style goes well with straight, wavy and curly hair.

The Rockabilly

The King is back! This Elvis inspired hairstyle has been tweaked a little to give it a more contemporary look. Although, this hairstyle is high maintenance, it’s not impossible. This one’s worth the hard work!

The Quiff

Inspired from the all American man, this look broke free from the polished and refined. This style called for a little more ruggedness and voila the Quiff was born. This season this style has a basic looks which you can transform to your liking. You can either go slick or you can slightly messy.

Long & Free

The long and straight hairstyle has been around since the early 90’s when it was made famous by Axil Rose. You can part it in the middle or have it all combed back. The length of the hair doesn’t matter although the longer the better.
