The best feature about fashion is that it’s always evolving and adapting to the time and geography.

Experimenting with fashion is a talent that most of us express with our own personal style.

Today, let’s take a look at belts. The basic function of a belt is to hold up our pants. Now, belts are become a very popular style accessory so how can we give it a twist? By adding some knotty style to your outfits…

Here’s a few ways in which you can knot your belt to add a hint of chic…

Single Knot – This is the quickest knot and the easiest. First buckle your belt. Then take the end down and behind the belt and then pull it through the loop you just created.

Loop Knot – This knot is based on the Single Knot only with a little added detail for a prettier look. After you buckle your belt, you take the end down and behind the belt. Now, pull the end through the belt loop and then pull it thought the loop that you created.

Two Knots – This knot is great if you have a really long belt. All you need to do is combine the Single Knot and the Loop Knot. You can tie either the Single knot first followed by the loop knot, depending on what you like.

Simple Knot – Why buckle up? This knot will go great with ring buckle belts. This knot is just like the Single Knot but don’t buckle it first. Take the end down and behind the belt and then pull it through the buckle of your belt. Now, pull tight and adjust it.

Tucked up – This style doesn’t require knots but is great if you have a short belt. First buckle your belt and pull it through the belt loop. Then take the end above and behind the belt.

Yes, Its sounds difficult but trust us on this; it’s easier done than said… ;)

Whether your traveling for business or for holiday there’s always that anxiousness to get to your destination. While airline traveling maybe a nuisance for some, remember being on your best behaviour will help lessen the hassle.

Here’s a few travel tips that’ll help keep your sanity..

Boarding Madness: While boarding carry your bags in front of you, this way you won’t knock seated passengers on their arms, shoulders, and heads. You also need to be swift while storing your bags so that you don’t cause a jam in the aisles.

Carry-on luggage: It’s called “carry-on” for a reason; if you can’t “carry” it then check it in! Try to limit your carry-on to a maximum of 2 bags, this way you can store it neatly at the overhead bin above your seat. Another no-no is storing bags in bins at the front of the aircraft. Apart from being inconsiderate and down right rude, storing your bags at the front for a quick exit will possibly delay departure as they search for storage.

The Art of Reclining: With cramped space around us, it’s no wonder that we’d want to keep our seats in the reclined position. However, there’s a time for everything, don’t recline your seats unless your told to. Always look behind you before you recline your seat and do it slowly. This avoids the spillage of drinks or disruption of work for the person behind you.

Seat Grabbing: While getting up from your seat use the armrests instead of the seat in from of you. Wouldn’t you hate if someone disturbed your sleep or in-flight movie with this annoying gesture?

Personal Space: For many travelers, a flight can be a great time to relax, read a book, work or catch up on sleep. Be the perfect neighbour and don’t disturb! A little chit chat is fine, but don’t turn into talkative Timmy.

Alcohol: No matter what party destination you’re headed to don’t get drunk during (or before) the flight. You may be enjoying yourself but your fellow passengers aren’t. Some airline don’t allow passengers suspected of being over the limit on alcohol consumption to board the flight.

Kids will be Kids: Traveling with kids can be tough and things can go wrong. If your kids get difficult it’s time you step up and be a parent before they create mayhem in the aisles.

Tip: bring a few toys, crayons, activity books and snacks to keep them occupied.

Flight Attendants: Keep in mind they’re there for your safety first and aren’t your personal maids. Be polite and they won’t bite!

Deplaning Frenzy: Yes, by the end of the flight we all want to just get the hell out! But for your safety and the safety of other wait for the seat belt signs to go off and then get up. Also keep in mind to open the overhead bin slowly to avoid the bags from tumbling down and fall on some ones head.
